Do you become confused by the growing number of graphic file formats? Probably, and quite reasonably you would like to be able to move material from one format to another. Clearly there is a sense in which such transformation must be possible, in practice this is not easy.

This book is accompanied by a 5.25" HD floppy containing copies of Graphic Workshop and Desktop Paint. The book and the software will help solve many of your problems but not all; some are beyond the reach of being fixed in this manner. For example, at the time of writing it was simply impossible to import an Encapsulated Postscript file into Microsoft Word.

This book is an excellent overview of the problems together with the tools to fix a large number of them. It isn't for programmers except in so far as we are computer users. If you look at some of the problems you may know what formats to avoid in the graphic elements of your documentation.
